We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) assistant worship leader to join the roster of worship leaders within the EastLake Church Network. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to build teams, recruit vocalists and instrumentalists, and work within a collaborative team environment. Conversational and written fluency in both English and Spanish is a requirement, as is instrumental proficiency on keyboards/piano and/or guitar. Must be able to read music, lead from charts (not lyric sheets), run rehearsals effectively, and have familiarity with common digital audio workstation software (Ableton, ProTools, etc.) and rehearsal and service management tools and software (Planning Center, ProPresenter, etc.) A bachelor’s degree in music or ministry is preferred but not required. This position will report to the EastLake Church Network’s worship pastor and assist with worship services in both English and Spanish.
We are seeking an individual with both a clear musical gifting as well as a pastoral calling. In other words, we aren’t looking for an artist in residence or a resident rock star. Instead, we’re looking for someone who values people, teams, and discipleship. Regardless of language, we like our music led with energy, passion, and enthusiasm, so if you lead with your eyes closed or spend most of the song staring at your feet, this won’t be a good fit for you.
This is a full time position and salary will be commensurate with education and experience, but it is an entry level worship leadership position and basic salary scale will be consistent with a full-time, entry level position on our team. Specific salary range will not be discussed until the second round of the interview process. To apply, please send the following:
- Letter of introduction in both English and Spanish
- Complete résumé in both English and Spanish
- Link to two videos: 1) Full worship song led in English 2) Full worship song led in Spanish
- Statement of ministry philosophy
Incomplete submissions will not be considered and no alternate language proficiency will be allowed as a substitution. (In other words, we’re looking specifically for English and Spanish language proficiency, so if you can only lead in English and Esperanto, you won’t get the job, even if we’re impressed.) Please note that we are requiring spoken and written fluency in both Spanish and English.
