Faith of our Fathers
When a new smartphone is introduced to the world, a long line of customers forms to camp out overnight – just for the chance to be the first to buy it. Why is that? Because it’s new. And new is good, it really is. But things that have been around for a while aren’t bad simply because they aren’t new. In fact, sometimes things have been around for a while because they’re so good that they’ve stood the test of time. In the church, there are things like that – communion, baptism, confession – and we should understand what they are and why they’re so important. That’s the message of “Faith of our Fathers” – a series that looks at the traditions and practices of a church that has stood the test of time.
